OGAE UK is proud to present Eurobash 2010, taking place on
Saturday 16 October at a brand new venueChancellors Hotel and Conference Centre, Manchester.

This year rather than just having one space, we have an entire venue to ourselves!  In addition to the main room in which most events will take place, there are separate areas for dining, tea/coffee, the bar and chilling out.

You can check out Chancellors’ website at here.

Eurobash 2010 is open to all members and friends of OGAE UK.

The event will include:
• It’s the first Eurobash in Manchester, so there will be a contest celebrating some great Eurovision ‘firsts’
• The hotly contested Euroquiz
• The Guest List – Eurovision celebrities answer your questions
• Stars In Their Eurovision Eyes, this year with a mini concert featuring some of our guests
• The Euro Disco – where you pick the songs

EVENT LISTING (all timings are approximate)

From 12noon – Registration and lunch
Sign yourself in, enjoy tea, coffee and a light lunch, whilst catching up with fellow Bash attendees.  And don’t forget to buy tickets for the prize raffle.

1pm – President’s Welcome
OGAE UK president, Paul Marks-Jones welcomes everyone to the Bash.

1.15pm – Euroquiz
Our quizmaster, Monty, is back with more brain teasers.  Even if you don’t know your Selma from your Céline, it’s great fun, and a brilliant way to get to know your fellow Bash attendees!

2.30pm – “Firsts” Song Contest
To celebrate the first Bash in Manchester, songs that were pioneers in their field will fight it out.  Maybe we’ll have a song that was the first to feature a prop, or maybe the first song to be conducted by a woman, or maybe the first song to be performed by a group or duo.

4pm – Break
Time for another caffeine fix!

4.30pm – The Guest List
Which Eurovision-related guests will be facing your questions this year?  At previous Bashes we’ve welcomed the likes of Paddy O’Connell, James Fox and Gemma from Jemini.  Chaired by Marcus Keppel-Palmer, those on ‘The Guest List’ will be announced shortly.

5.30pm - Hot Buffet
Enjoy a hot buffet whilst listening to some Eurovision classics.

7.15pm – Raffle Draw
Make sure you’re back in your seats for the drawing of the raffle, in which you can win some fabulous Eurovision goodies!

7.30pm – Stars In Their Eurovision Eyes and mini EuroConcert
Last year ‘Laka’ won the hotly coveted Stars In Their Eurovision Eyes trophy with a fabulous interpretation of Pokušaj.  Who will follow in their footsteps?  You decide!  This year’s contest features a very special interval act – a mini concert including performances from some today’s guests.  If you are interested in dressing up and singing like a Eurostar, please contact Stars host, Dean Asker on dean.asker@btinternet.com for more information.

9.30pm til late – Euro Disco…
You’re the DJ at our Eurovision Disco!  Attendees will have the chance to supply their own “playlist” before the event – but only uptempo numbers please!  As many of these suggested songs as possible will be played by DJ Dave Simmons.  Email your playlist (no more than 3 songs) to eurobash@btineternet.com
